Taipei Zhongshan Somenoi Japanese Teppanyaki Kaiseki Cuisine

Uncle Jason took the high-speed rail up from Taichung to meet us for lunch, so we headed to this Japanese restaurant tucked away in an alley in Taipei's Zhongshan District. The midday kaiseki set was NT$1,500+10% and was decent, including fugu in the sashimi platter. The four of us also opened a Chilean and an Australian red. It was great catching up with my talkative uncle, hearing about his recent dinner with Acer's former GM, his managed company landing Amazon orders, and his Stanford professor friend merging liberal arts and CS departments.
