I still remember when Bencotto first opened a few years ago—I couldn't get a reservation back then. Today, I managed to snag one of the last few tables for dinner. The four-course set menu costs around NT$2,000+ and offers decent value, featuring dishes like beef tartare, pappardelle, and wagyu. The ambiance and service were both great. The only letdown was the NT$4,000+ 2016 Italian red we ordered—it didn't quite feel worth the price, especially after checking Vivino and seeing it rated only 4.0...
