Taipei Gorgeous Hotel - Japanese-style Hot Pot

At noon today, Brother Jason, who retired from the tech industry several years ago, took the HSR up from Zhubei to have a meal with me. The weather was a bit chilly, so of course, we had hot pot :P. So we just casually had a meal at the restaurant above the hotel where he was staying. Due to work and a love for travel, he has been to many countries (Europe, Japan, North America, Mainland China, Southeast Asia, Australia...) and has a very rich and exciting life. Listening to him talk about encountering a warlord in the mountains of Myanmar who said he could mine gold if he paid, riding a minivan in Yunnan on roads with boulders blocking the way ahead, cliffs on the side, and a big river below...
